Into the Mystic: Celebrating Pisces
What do Smokey Robinson, Seal, Rihanna, Sidney Poitier and Drew Barrymore have in common? Their sun sign is in Pisces, the mutable, visionary fish of the Zodiac.
Kind, gentle Pisces are known for clairvoyant leanings, and creative pursuits that bring people together through music and other experiences that can be enjoyed collectively. As the last sign in the Zodiac, Pisces holds characteristics of all the signs that come before it.
George Harrison, former Beatle, and a Pisces, wrote and recorded The Pisces Fish before he died in 2001. The lyrics sum up the peaceful nature of our Piscean friends, a yearning to be at one with nature, water in particular, and with the energy of the universe:
“There's a temple on an island
I think of all the Gods and what they feel
You can only find them in the deepest silence
I got to get off of this big wheel
And I'm a Pisces fish and the river runs
Through my soul…”
“...And I'll be swimming until I can find
Those waters
That one unbounded ocean of bliss
That's flowing through your parents,
Sons and daughters
But still an easy thing for us to miss…”
- Excerpts from The Pisces Fish, George Harrison
The Zodiac Collection
I created my Zodiac jewelry collection for every star sign, but given the season, I want to draw attention to the Symbol of Pisces, and the pendant I designed, just for them:
“Pisces, ruled by Neptune, are known to be dreamy, imaginative and inventive. This lightweight necklace is a graceful sigil for the Pisces with a sense of mysticism.”
Happy Birthday, Pisces!
May you have beauty in all of your days,
Rael
